Assisting in developing the tech standards for the school’s computer lab became a priority and she integrated most of the state content standards from the classroom with computer projects.
Setting up her school’s first computer lab, Marilyn developed the tech standards and integrated them with the state content standards. In 1985, she was awarded the Governor’s Teacher of the Year Award and the local Teacher of the Year in 1988. She was inducted into the “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers” in 1992.
Retiring in 2003 from public education, she has continued to working with curriculum educational goals with incorporation in 3D technologies.
